Teller / Customer Service Representative

Job Description:

Bank of Abbeville & Trust Co. is currently seeking a Teller/Customer Service Representative for both our Abbeville and Maurice locations. Are you people-oriented, enjoys interaction and wants to grow with a long-term financial institution?

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing consistent, professional and friendly service as they assist customers in a variety of financial transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals and loan payments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides timely and courteous service to all bank customers and assist them with financial transactions
  • Responds to customer inquiries in person and over the phone
  • Resolves routine issues and directs complex issues to the appropriate management staff member
  • Performs all operational activities in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Participates in annual regulation and compliance training
  • Balances teller drawer daily
  • Maintains cash drawer in accordance with assigned cash limits

  • High school diploma and prior banking or cash handling experience is a plus
